As you continue to unfold and open, expressing your true nature without resistance, and the world continues to unfold and express new patterns and opportunities, why would your Vision remain static?
Suppose you heard someone say, “I did a visualization once and saw this great vision of what I should create, and I’ve been working toward that ever since!” How out of date might they be? And their commitment to that one glimpse, if it even was a glimpse and not just a projection, now holds them fixated in the past.
I know that as my kids got older and I looked back at the dreams I’d put on hold… they didn’t fit any more. They were no longer what I even wanted. I had to realign. And when I found tools within awakening, my experience and expression of my Vision became more vibrant and alive in every moment.
When you make your Vision into your goal or objective, it becomes an object. It becomes something separate from you, for you to strive toward. Something “out there.” Something static, an end-point.
Your Vision, as much as your actions and experiences, is a continuous expression of your true nature into the world AS YOU.
It’s not a song you heard once, long ago. It was never meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime intimate moment that got frozen into a photograph you worship on the wall. It continues to unfold.
The Vision that you open to — open minded, open hearted, and without trying to control it — is an expression of your own nature, just as much as your body, mind, and heart! And just as these expressions continue to unfold, your Vision is in constant evolution.
As you blossom and the world blossoms, the range of interconnected Visions affect circumstances beyond your sphere of knowing, bringing resources and opportunities closer together. Clinging to a single experience of your Vision puts you out of sync with emerging possibilities.
Don’t be like the lover dismayed by drifting apart, who exclaims, “But I said I love you once!”
How do you stay in relationship, intimately participating with this Vision each day, throughout the day?
I recently renewed my scuba training and was struck by this quote:
The Most Important Rule in scuba diving: breathe continuously and never hold your breath. As long as you continue to breathe normally you continually equalize your lungs with surrounding pressure and avoid lung overexpansion.
Breathe continuously… don’t hold on… continually equalize with the surroundings. Yup. And in our case, the surroundings are emerging from the depths of reality into form. The new paradigm is to stay in tune with the whole spectrum.
You must be willing to continuously let go of elements that brought you this far in order to realign with what has evolved within and around you. And you can release them without making them mistakes or making yourself wrong. They were perfect, required stepping stones in their time. And in every moment, something new emerges.
